El
Progrés
is one of the alive testimonies of the social and cultural life of Martorell,
since I am based in 1906 when the population was a small town dedicated to the
grapevine and the people of all the ages were to make a coffee and chat. The
headquarter of El Progrés was, then, a space very frequented by where
personages known like Josep Pla marched past, who came to the
population invited by the philosopher and writer Francesc Pujols. The
organization been born with a sure objective to foment the republican spirit
and the culture, and to his around, was created supporters clubs, theatre
groups, a football team and a library..

Progrés
de Martorell conserves a great architectonic patrimony. El Cafè that it gives
to the street of the Mur, i the theatre, alongside. In the construction of
these buildings many partners collaborated who, instead of contributing money,
helped in the construction contributing their work and the means that could
(cars, charge animals).
This
spirit of the first founders has injured to the present time and, you to date
build them made for the reform of the Room Theater have been made by partners
